Kaenon has ceased operations. The Kaenon sunglasses and lenses listed here are the last of our own inventory: once a style or size sells out it will not be restocked, and there is no manufacturer warranty, repair service, or replacement-parts program behind these frames any more.

What is Kaenon SR-91 lens material?

SR-91 is Kaenon's proprietary non-polycarbonate lens material. It combines glass-like optical clarity with polycarbonate-level impact resistance and was the first material of its kind to pass the high-mass impact test of the ANSI Z87.1 standard. It takes tints and polarization well while keeping distortion low, which is why Kaenon frames were popular for driving, fishing, and sport.

Can I get prescription lenses in Kaenon frames?

Kaenon's own prescription program, which surfaced Rx lenses in SR-91, is no longer available. Many Kaenon frames still accept prescription lenses cut in our lab from our regular lens materials. If the product page shows a prescription option for a frame, we can fill it; if it does not, the frame is sold non-prescription only.

Do you sell Kaenon replacement lenses?

We still have Kaenon replacement lenses in stock for a number of models. Each lens listing names the exact frame model it fits, so match that name to your sunglasses before ordering. Like the frames, replacement lenses sell until they are gone and will not be restocked.
