Will an oversized frame work with my PD?
Only if your eyes are far enough apart. An extra-large frame (55 to 60 mm lens) wants a PD of about 68 mm or more; below about 62 mm the optical centres end up too far out and the lenses induce prism, which gives you a headache. In that case we'll suggest a narrower frame. Big lenses also get thick on a minus prescription, so high-index is the usual choice.
What counts as extra large in sunglasses?
A lens 60 mm or wider and a total frame width over 150 mm. Fatheadz, XXL Eyewear, Rio Ray and Under Armour all have models in that range; most take polarized prescription lenses.
