XXL Eyewear FAQ
Will an oversized frame work with my PD?
Only if your eyes are far enough apart. An extra-large frame (55 to 60 mm lens) wants a PD of about 68 mm or more; below about 62 mm the optical centres end up too far out and the lenses induce prism, which gives you a headache. In that case we'll suggest a narrower frame. Big lenses also get thick on a minus prescription, so high-index is the usual choice.
What is XXL Eyewear?
Extra-wide eyeglass frames, mostly 58 to 62 eye with long temples, for people who've never found a frame that fits. The Tuga and Condor are the two we sell most.
What sizes does XXL Eyewear go to?
58 to 62 eye with 150 mm temples and wide bridges. The Tuga and Condor are the best sellers. If a Fatheadz is still tight at the temples, this is the next stop.
