Photochromic Light-Adaptive Glasses FAQ
How do photochromic lenses work?
They darken in UV light and clear again indoors, in about a minute each way. Outdoors they reach a medium-dark sunglass tint; they stay lighter in a car because the windshield blocks most UV. For driving, add polarization or choose a lens made to react to visible light.
Photochromic in my prescription?
In plastic, polycarbonate and high-index, single vision or progressive. It's one of the most common lens options we sell.
Can I get photochromic + polarized in prescription?
Yes: Transitions XTRActive Polarized, Oakley Prizm Photochromic and a few others do both in prescription. They cost more and they're the best outdoor sport lens we sell.
