Every Wiley X lens is shatterproof Selenite™ polycarbonate with 100% UVA/UVB protection and ANSI Z87.1+ high-velocity and high-mass impact certification, so sunglasses here are true safety eyewear. CAPTIVATE™ lenses add color-enhancing filtering for sharper detail, more contrast and richer color; polarized versions also remove glare from water and roads. Lower light transmission (VLT) means a darker lens: about 10–17% for bright sun, 45–55% for overcast and dusk, 78–89% for clear lenses.
