Many companies are fielding their products overseas for manufacturing. From Barbie dolls to office furniture odds are pretty good it isn't manufactured in the US. Randolph Engineering, the maker of fine aviator style prescription sunglasses (since 1978) has managed to keep it all within the border. Not too familiar with the name? Well, if you are anywhere near a tv or computer you have definitely seen their products. Most recently worn by Jon Hamm as Don Draper on the hit television series Mad Men and Ben Kinglsey in Iron Man 3.Also Read: Oakley captures the 2013 Tour De France victory The company itself is based just outside of Boston, with a workforce of just 60. They manage to make 2,000 frames a day, and total over 500,000 pairs a year!
