Why do my polarized lenses create a rainbow effect on car windows?
That's the glass, not the lens. Tempered car windows have stresses in them that polarized light shows up as coloured patterns. It's harmless and doesn't affect the prescription or the UV protection.
Can I get prescription lenses with mirror coatings?
Yes, flash or full mirror in silver, gold, blue, red and more, over most tinted prescription lenses. A mirror bounces bright light away without making the lens as dark as a heavy tint. It adds a touch of thickness, and on glass it's a factory order. Best over polarized.
What's a gradient tint vs. a solid tint?
Solid is the same darkness top to bottom. Gradient is dark up top and lighter below, so you look at the road through the dark part and the dashboard through the light part. Both come in any colour; gradient usually costs no extra.
