Sharman is a first-class running coach and race director (for the Julbo sponsored Skyrunner series) and always poses a threat in any race using prescription sunglasses he competes in. "Fitness is 50% of the battle on race day," Sharman wrote prior to WSER, talking about how experience is the secret behind the mental game of running.
Dylan Bowman If you follow Bowman on Strava you will see that he has posted over 316,000 feet of climbing and over 1800 miles in total running this year. He is light on his feet and is based in Aspen, which gave him an advantage in the high altitude.
Larisa Dannis The New Hampshire native is an up and comer with no shortage of running skills for her first WSER race.
Denise Bourassa Denise is taking on WSER as a part of the Ultra Grand Slam , and is not afraid of any challenges that may get in her way. Gina Lucrezi Hailing from Colorado, Gina Lucrezi is known for being a tough competitor, yet a kind person. The collegiate winner turned exceptional runner took home top honors at the Laugavegur Ultra Marathon in Iceland.
