Being an avid cyclist you get to experience many things like: rock kicks ups, tree branches in the face, and flying critters. One this is for sure, you need to keep your eyes protected at all times. On a recent 40 mile ride through the winding south metropolitan area of St.Paul. I was following a friend of mine on a tight shouldered busy highway. A huge truck flew past us, and some major debris flew in our direction. Within an instant, I heard a pop and felt my prescription sunglasses almost suction to my face. I pulled over and took my glasses off, and realized that I had been hit with a pretty decent sized rock. My right lens had a huge gouge in it. My friend took one look at my glasses and said " WOW! I wonder what would of happened if you didn't wear your glasses?"Keeping that thought fresh in my mind I went home and researched the best lenses for those kinds of situations.. and came upon Rudy Project Impact X.
