Pyramex FAQ
How do I know the frame is Z87+, not just the lens?
The frame has Z87+ moulded into the temple or bridge; the lens has it etched in a corner. Plenty of glasses pair a rated lens with an unrated frame, which is worthless in an impact, so look at the frame. Ours come with both rated and a certificate of compliance.
Do you do prescription welding goggles?
No. Welding shades can't be made as prescription lenses. Wear a prescription insert under the welding helmet, or contacts with a passive shield. For grinding and chipping we can supply clear prescription safety glasses.
Pyramex, Radians, Innotec: which one?
All three are inexpensive Z87+ safety brands you'll see on construction sites and ranges, and most of their frames take a prescription. Pyramex has the widest range, Radians leans toward shooting, Innotec is the cheapest and sells mostly in bulk to workplaces.
